"Morning," Lloyd greeted Lee through the bacon with a wave. Then he blinked at the slight look of awe he was receiving, "Are you alright?"

"Red," she murmured absently then proceeded to mentally beat herself up. The hell! Why did I say that? Yes, he's red but I didn't need to voice it! The hell!

"Ahh," she sighed lightly, "morning Lloyd." How does Lee normally act around Lloyd?

Lloyd ate another piece as he frowned and gazed questioningly at his aunt and uncle. "What happened?" he asked them then repeated the question while looking at Lee, his eyes growing wide.

"Um... ah..." words, Lee, words! Jesus... "I don't know. Yesterday... I seem to have blanks in my memory." Just because you're meeting the main character of a fictional game doesn't mean you should loose all sense of composure!

"Raine calls it amnesia," Eric said as Lynn sighed. Lloyd blinked again.

"But it was only last night!" he cried, flinging his hands. Some bacon flew onto the stove. The teen settled and set the plate on the table.

Lee would've laughed but seeing Lloyd panicking wasn't as amusing as she would've thought. "It's okay," she found herself saying, "It'll come back to me," she tried to reassure him.

Lloyd just despaired further. "But it's not okay," he say down and smacked his head on the table. Lynn jumped and tried to stop him. "I should've walked you home," he moaned into the wood.

Eric shook his head, "There's nothing you could've done," he said, "she's uninjured."

Wow, Genis was right, of course. Lloyd really is blaming himself. "I have a feeling that this would've happened whether you'd been with me or not," she said quietly, truthfully, "so please, don't think it's your fault. Like I said, it's going to be okay." Never would she have imagined herself trying to calm Lloyd down. Jeez...

Lloyd straightened up and faced his cousin. "But-" he stopped himself when he caught Lynn's expression out of the corner of his eye. The woman was staring at the table, gripping her coffee cup. Lloyd huffed and sourly ate another piece of bacon.

"It'll work out," Eric said.

Lee rose and put her empty cup and plate in the sink then grabbed a bag hanging on a hook in the bathroom. "This mine?" The bag was handmade and the pattern looked like something Lee would make. She held it up for her mom to see.

The woman nodded, "You made it," she said, "your supplies are in the side room."

"I made it?" Lee questioned before she could stop herself. Lee couldn't sew/knit for the life of her and, apparently, her parallel could. "Wow," she slung it over her shoulder.

Lloyd sighed as he stood up, grabbing the rest of the bacon off the stove. "Wait 'til Genis hears this," he said.

"Ah... he knows. He, um... found me yestersay in the woods," she left out the ranch, "so he brought Raine here."

Lloyd looked at her as he took a deep breath, "And Colette? Does she know?"

"Alright," Lloyd nodded and turned back to the living room, "I'll tell her when I get to class." Then a thought occurred to him, "Are you sure you should be going to work?"

"Yeah," Lee nodded herself, "I definitely wanna work. I'll get re-trained. It'll be better than doing nothing while waiting for my memory to return." More like, the extra money would come in handy.

Lloyd watched her for a moment before turning again and waving for her to follow. "Okay, let's get you to work so I can get to class," he said.

"Don't be late!" Eric called to the boy and Lloyd grinned.

Lee followed Lloyd with a brief smile at the interaction between her father and 'cousin'. She should say something... something... She didn't know what to say so she stopped trying.

It was around noon when Colette burst into the store, Lloyd and Genis following in behind her. The girl engulfed Lee-Ann in a hug, crying out her name and heartfelt sympathies.

"Ah!" Lee cried in surpried. It took her a moment to recognize the pale blonde hair and soft voice as Colette Brunel.

"Ah, hello Colette. It's alright," she said hesitantly, patting the younger girl's back. There were no customers, thankfully, so Lee was free to give the three her undivided attention.

"Oh, it must be horrible, being unable to remember anything!" Colette cried and the boys jerked.

"No, Colette," Genis started as Lloyd stepped forward.

"You'll be okay!" Colette separated herself from Lee, keeping a firm grip on the shorter girl's shoulders, "I'll help you get your memories back!"

Lee blinked, "Uh, thanks Colette but, um... well, they're not all gone. Just, um, well..." Lee deflated and looked to the ground. This was really becoming tiring.

"I remember some things, Colette. The rest will come back... probably," Lee forced her best smile despite the weariness the story was bringing her.

"Good!" Colette grinned back and Genis sighed. Lloyd could only shrug as he looked at him.

"It's Colette," he said, "she understands in her own way."
